It was a big pleasure to work with the SSI Conservancy staff and volunteers, and our team and subs to build this community facility on Blackburn Lake. The building sits on a disturbed area of the land that was once the golf course and is now the Blackburn Lake Nature Reserve. This facility is the headquarters for the Conservancy’s important work, a meeting space and an education center. The building includes many eco features including a grid-tie solar array that offsets the hydro costs of the facility. Bravo to the many people involved in making this come to be!
